• We encourage you to share your ideas openly

  • We do not provide an NDA for interactions on this forum.

  • Access is limited to registered users.

This community was created in the spirit of trust and collaboration. If you think you need to keep certain information secret, then please only share it via other tools such as google docs where you can control access. You can use similar tools to sign online NDAs but it's your responsibility to validate the identity of the signatory.

If it's just about protecting an idea, we would recommend reading the approach taken by Y combinator here: https://www.ycombinator.com/faq/

Will you sign an NDA? How do I know you won't steal my idea?
No, we won't sign an NDA. No venture firm would at this stage. The informal commitment to secrecy on our application form is more than any VC would make.

Data sharing

Things are very different when we consider data. Here we recommend you share no real data (real users, data form production databases) with anyone.

It is your responsibility to protect and control access to your data and we would only recommend granting access to it after you have an appropriate legal relationship

See GDPR and other regulations regarding data protection measures, data processors, data controllers and other topics.

But how can developers support me with data-related topics?

Dummy data.

As in most best-practice development collaborations, it's much easier to onboard new people when you have a test data set. There are some excellent tools such as faker which can help you here:
